How to Fix Lyrics and Pronunciation Issues
Overview
AI lyrics are fast and powerful, but not perfect. Sometimes a generated song includes typos, wrong words, unclear pronunciation, or lines you simply want to change. On MusicCreator, you can’t directly “edit” the audio of an existing song, but you can fix issues by regenerating part of the track using our Cover and Extend tools while keeping a similar style.
Why you can’t edit lyrics directly
Once a song is generated, the vocals and instrumental are tightly synchronized. Changing the text alone would break that alignment, so the platform doesn’t support “patching” individual words inside the finished audio. Instead, the correct approach is to regenerate the section that contains the error, using updated lyrics and the same musical style.
Basic fix workflow
- Identify the problem
- Listen carefully and note what is wrong (typo, wrong word, unclear line, missing word).
- Write down the approximate timestamp where the issue happens and the surrounding lyrics for context.
- Decide how much to regenerate
- For a small issue in one part of the song, use Extend or Cover from just before the error to the end of that section.
- For many issues across the track, it’s often easier to fully regenerate the song with corrected lyrics and the same style settings.
- Keep the style the same
- Reuse the same style description you used originally in the AI Music Generator (genre, mood, tempo, vocal type).
- This helps the new section blend with the original so the fix sounds natural.
Fixing common lyric problems
- Typos and wrong words
- Copy the original lyrics from just before the error.
- Correct the spelling or replace the wrong word with the word you actually want.
- Regenerate from that point using the same style description.
- Unclear pronunciation or “mumbled” words
- Simplify the wording: use shorter phrases or more common words.
- Avoid long, complex or very fast phrases; break them into clearer lines.
- Regenerate the section so the AI can sing the new, cleaner text more clearly.
- Missing or skipped words
- Rewrite the line so the rhythm feels natural, even if you change the phrasing slightly.
- Make sure syllable counts are reasonable, then regenerate from a clean point before that line.
Tips for better results
- Choose clean start points
- Start regeneration at a natural pause, breath, or transition—never in the middle of a word or note.
- Match energy
- If you are fixing a chorus, use lyrics with similar energy and emotional intensity so the new part doesn’t feel flat or out of place.
- Try multiple generations
- AI generations vary slightly each time; run a few and keep the version that blends best with your original track.
Using this workflow, you can fix most lyric issues on MusicCreator.ai without losing a song you already like—just regenerate the parts that need improvement while keeping the overall style and vibe the same.
