Cover: Update Lyrics or Style for an Existing Song

Introduction

When you are not fully happy with the vocals, lyrics, or style of a song—but you still like the melody—you can try the Cover feature on MusicCreator.ai. It lets you partially update a track: you can change only the lyrics while keeping the melody, change only the musical style, or even add vocals to an instrumental track without rebuilding the whole song from scratch.

Choose the song to cover

Open the AI Music Generator and, in the workspace panel on the right, select the song you want to modify, then switch to the Cover view.
This is where you will set up how the new version of your song should be generated.

Customize your cover

Use the “Instrumental” option to decide whether the covered version should include vocals or remain instrumental.
In the “Lyrics” field, enter the lyrics you want for the new version; if you do not want to change the lyrics, paste the original lyrics from your song.
In the “Cover Style” field, describe the style you want for the new version. If you prefer to keep the original musical style, you can simply write “Keep the original style”.

Fine‑tune with advanced options

Click “Advanced options” to see five controls for deeper customization:

• Exclude Styles: Describe any styles you do not want in the covered version.
• Vocal Gender: Choose the vocal gender for the new version of the song.
• Weirdness: Controls how experimental the cover is; higher values can create more unexpected and creative results.
• Style Influence: Controls how strongly the Cover Style guides the new music; higher values make it follow your style description more closely.
• Audio Influence: Controls how similar the new version is to the original audio; higher values keep it closer to the original track.

When you are satisfied with the settings, click the Generate button and wait for the AI to create the new covered version of your song.
